ABOUT
Brigid Brind is a Stockport based artist who was born in Salford.
After graduating in fine art at Newcastle University she studied theatre design and subsequently worked in London as a costume-prop maker and theatrical milliner eventually working for the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
Later, moving north, she worked on fine art and mural commissions throughout the 1990s. During this period, she created artworks for Stockport Arts and Health as well as private clients.
She taught at Stockport College for 19 years, delivering life drawing courses as well as general art and design, textiles and contextual studies.
She is a figurative artist. Her work is primarily concerned with natural form using a range of media and technique.
